Schloss Lamberg is a Baroque castle in Steyr, built on a high terrace above the confluence of the Steyr and Enns rivers. Its pale cream walls and steep red tiled roofs enclose a rectangular courtyard with a lawn and a circular centrepiece. A square tower with a grey pyramidal roof stands in the left wing, and a slender white clock tower rises at the inner corner. The long front range has a central arched gateway topped by a triangular pediment, and a low arcade with rounded arches sits at the far left. The castle is surrounded by an English landscape park.

The Styraburg was built at the start of the 10th century and first documented in 985; it gave its name to both Steyr and Styria. In 1192 it passed to the Babenbergs and later to the Habsburgs. A fire destroyed the complex in 1727, and Johann Michael Prunner rebuilt it as a Baroque palace. The Counts of Lamberg owned it from 1666 to 1938.

The name Lamberg comes from the Counts of Lamberg, who owned the castle from 1666 to 1938. In 1980 the restored building housed the provincial exhibition on the Hallstatt culture, and in 2021 it was one of three venues of the Upper Austrian provincial exhibition, alongside the Innerberger Stadel and the Museum of the City of Steyr. Today it also hosts cultural events.

Schloss Lamberg stands on a high terrace above the confluence of the Steyr and Enns, reached on foot from the old town. The building now houses Steyr's police headquarters, so the courtyard and grounds are what visitors see; the 2014/15 restoration renewed the courtyard fountain and sculptures. The Römerturm keeps its battlemented platform from after the 1824 town fire.

The Römerturm, the castle's bergfried, got its crenellated platform after the town fire of 1824. Below the complex, a Gothic archway and remnants of the town-side wall survive from the Styraburg, and the former moat is 35 m wide.
