Schloss Merkenstein, Neogothic château in Bad Vöslau, Austria.
The two-story stone château stands at 461 meters elevation, featuring Tudor architectural style with symmetrical wings and ornate decorative elements.
Josef Karl von Dietrichstein constructed the original building between 1801 and 1803, which later underwent reconstruction after severe damage in 1945.
The château grounds include a chapel from the 16th century and a Turkish well commemorating the fortress destruction during the Ottoman siege.
The château remains under private ownership since 2000 and has undergone complete restoration according to historical specifications.
The gardens contain a hermitage and observation tower designed by Countess Elisabeth Waldstein-Wartenberg in the early 19th century.
