Schloss Rastenfeld, Heritage castle in Mölbling, Austria.
The castle features an irregular octagonal structure with four floors and includes a chapel dedicated to Johannes Nepomuk constructed in the 18th century.
Wilhelm von Perneck built the castle before 1469, after which it belonged to the Bishops of Gurk and later to the von Feistritz and von Herberstein families.
The structure reflects architectural elements of Austrian nobility residences, incorporating Gothic portals that lead into an irregular inner courtyard with the original round-arched main gate.
The castle stands on an eastern-sloping mountain peak, a spur of the forested Gunzenberg, 1.5 kilometers north of the village of Meiselding.
The fortification system includes extensive outworks and bailey fortifications, featuring a notable rotating gun port that demonstrates medieval defensive innovations.
