Schloss Pux is a château near Teufenbach-Katsch in Austria, built with unplastered rubble stone and featuring a rectangular chapel with a square chancel. The structure sits beside Puxberg mountain and contains both living quarters and the historic chapel with its artistic treasures.
An original château at this location burned completely during Christmas night in 1779. The current building was reconstructed in 1911 next to the remains of the old chapel.
The chapel holds medieval frescoes showing Christ in a Mandorla surrounded by evangelists, angels, and saints. These paintings were found during renovations and have been carefully preserved.
This property remains privately owned and is not open to visitors. Guests should respect the grounds boundaries and observe all posted signs at the entrance.
An impressive organ from 1693 in the chapel displays decorations showing Saints Peter and Paul along with depictions of Cäcilia and King David. This instrument reflects the artistic craftsmanship of that historical period.
