Kaiserhaus, Historical museum in Baden, Austria.
The Kaiserhaus is a three-story building in Baden featuring a classicist facade with a patterned ground floor. A rectangular entrance is flanked by columns supporting a balcony above, showing the refined proportions of early 19th century architecture.
Emperor Franz I acquired the building in 1813 as an imperial residence and used it until 1834. The property was originally owned by Prince Nikolaus II Esterházy before the Imperial Treasury took it over.
The name refers to its imperial past and role as a seat of power. Visitors can see how rooms were arranged and what objects from that era have survived.
The building is located at Hauptplatz 17 and can be visited by tours. Guided visits take you through various rooms and show collections from the imperial era.
A polygonal pavilion from the early 19th century is part of the property and features painted walls. These wall paintings create the visual illusion of being inside a tent.
