Wolfsbergkogel, Mountain summit in Rax-Schneeberg Group, Austria.

Wolfsbergkogel is a 961 m high mountain in the municipality of Semmering in Lower Austria. On its summit stands the Doppelreiterwarte at 919 m, a lookout tower with a wide view of the surroundings. Below the mountain lies the Wolfsbergkogel stop on the Semmering railway, and about 60 metres below the summit, on the southeast slope, stands the former Kurhaus, a reinforced concrete building from 1907–1909.

The Wolfsbergkogel lies at 961 m in the municipality of Semmering in Lower Austria, not in Styria. About 60 metres below the summit, on the southeast slope, the former Kurhaus was built from 1907 to 1909 to plans by Franz Krauß and Josef Tölk for the widow of architect Franz von Neumann and Dr. Franz Hansy. It was the third large house on the Semmering after the Südbahnhotel (1882) and Grand Hotel Panhans (1888).

The 20-Schilling view from the lookout on the summit reproduces the motif of the 20-schilling banknote of the 1966 series, showing the Semmering railway. The Doppelreiterwarte stands at 919 m and gives a wide view over the Semmering area. The Wolfsbergkogel stop below the summit is served by regional trains toward Payerbach-Reichenau and Semmering or Mürzzuschlag.

Hikers should wear sturdy footwear and weather-resistant clothing since mountain conditions can change quickly. The best time for climbing is between June and September, when trails are snow-free and days are longer.

From the viewing platform on the summit, the "Twenty-Schilling View" opens onto the Semmering railway; this motif appeared on the Austrian 20-schilling banknote of the 1966 series. The Doppelreiterwarte stands at 919 m on the mountain, below which lies the Wolfsbergkogel stop of the Semmering railway.
