Hubertushöhe

Hubertushöhe is a protected hill within the Plabutsch mountain range, rising to 562 meters with natural trails and viewing areas throughout. The terrain features mixed forest and meadow paths that offer views over Graz below.

The Austrian federal monument office designated this hill as a protected cultural property in 2000. The classification included specific regulations to safeguard the site from development or alteration.

The name Hubertushöhe honors Saint Hubertus, traditionally associated with hunting, reflecting the mountain's historical role in the region's past. Visitors walk today on paths that generations have used before them.

Multiple hiking paths reach the summit year-round, with main access routes starting from western neighborhoods of Graz. Wear comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes, as terrain varies along different trails.

From the summit, the entire city of Graz spreads below like a map laid out for viewing. This elevated vantage point reveals the city's layout and surroundings in ways impossible to see from street level.
