Einsiedelei

The Einsiedelei is a stone chapel in Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer situated on a mountainside. The small structure displays traditional Austrian features and appears closely integrated into the surrounding mountain landscape.

The structure was built as part of the region's religious traditions and once served hermits as a retreat. Today it is protected as a heritage monument and preserves a form of Austrian architectural history from earlier times.
