Schloss Gurhof

Schloss Gurhof is a long, rectangular castle complex centered around a grand courtyard with the main manor house and agricultural buildings extending along both sides. The buildings are arranged to form one unified compound that historically served as both a residence and working estate.

The noble residence was built between 1484 and 1498 by Jorg Hasiber von Hag, a captain of Gottweig and vassal to Count Michael of Hardegg zu Retz. Its construction during that period reflects the time when the region was controlled by powerful local noble families.
