The Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum occupies the two-storey house at Thal 19 where Arnold Schwarzenegger was born in 1947 and grew up. The rooms of the former family home hold his bodybuilding trophies, film props and memorabilia from his years as an actor and as Governor of California, arranged room by room through his life.
The house at Thal 182, where Arnold Schwarzenegger was born on 30 July 1947, was later used as a police station before being converted into a museum. The museum opened on 24 October 2011 in the renovated building, which dates from the 19th century and stands near the Thalersee lake.
