Hum Tower, Television tower on Mount Hum, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina
The 78.5-meter concrete telecommunications tower rises from Mount Hum at an altitude of 812 meters, featuring specialized antenna systems for broadcasting purposes.
The tower, constructed in the 1960s and rebuilt in the 1980s, sustained partial destruction during the Bosnian War in May 1992 by JNA and VRS forces.
The tower's silhouette holds such local importance that it appears on the official coat of arms of Novo Sarajevo municipality.
The facility maintains broadcasting capabilities for multiple radio and television channels, supporting the primary communication infrastructure of the Sarajevo region.
The tower's design differs from global standards by incorporating a concrete structure instead of the typical metal frame construction common in transmission towers.
