Lobbes Abbey, Medieval abbey in Lobbes, Belgium.

The abbey stands on elevated ground near the River Sambre, featuring architectural elements from the late 18th century construction period.

Founded by Landelin in 650, Lobbes Abbey developed into a center of religious education and monastic life in the Hainaut region.

The monastery complex includes the Saint-Ursmer collegiate church, which represents the only remaining Carolingian period church in Belgium.

Visitors can access the abbey grounds through guided tours arranged by the local tourism office at Rue de l'Eglise 1 in Lobbes.
