Overpelt, Municipality section in Pelt, Belgium
Overpelt is a section of Pelt in Belgium situated near the Dommel river. It contains several population centers including Holheide, Overpelt-Fabriek, and Lindelhoeven spread across roughly 10 square kilometers (4 square miles).
Overpelt functioned as an independent municipality in Limburg province for many years. It merged with Neerpelt on January 1, 2019, to form the new municipality of Pelt, representing a major administrative reorganization.
