National Park Bosland

The largest forested area in Flanders contains diverse landscapes with forests, heathlands, and wetlands supporting numerous plant and animal species throughout the territory.

Established on October 13, 2023, Bosland emerged from a rigorous selection process where ten regional coalitions submitted proposals for national park designation in Flanders.

The park engages children through specially designed expeditions, treasure hunts, and activities that connect young visitors with nature and local environmental education.

Visitors access the park without entrance fees and find convenient parking facilities near main areas, with trails suitable for hiking, cycling, and horseback riding.

Throughout the park, children discover specially designed woodland hammocks during treasure hunts, creating distinctive resting spots within natural surroundings.
