Pont Kennedy, Concrete bridge in central Liège, Belgium

The Pont Kennedy bridge extends 120 meters across the Meuse River, connecting the center of Liège with the Longdoz neighborhood.

Constructed between 1958 and 1960, this concrete bridge replaced a previous structure that German forces destroyed during World War II in 1940.

The bridge received its name in 1963 to honor United States President John F. Kennedy following his death, reflecting Belgian-American relations.

The bridge supports daily traffic of 15,000 vehicles and provides access to Quai Paul van Hoegaerden, Quai Édouard van Beneden, and Rue Grétry.

Georges Dedoyard designed this structure as the second bridge to cross the Meuse River in Liège, following the centuries-old Pont des Arches.
