Cornillon Abbey, Medieval monastery in Liège, Belgium
The monastery complex stands on the right bank of the Meuse River, occupying an elevated position that provides views across the city of Liège.
Founded in 1124 by Bishop Albero I of Louvain, the monastery moved to a new location in 1288 and became known as Beaurepart Abbey.
Saint Juliana of Liège resided at this monastery until 1258, where her religious experiences led to the establishment of the Corpus Christi feast.
The former abbey buildings now serve as the residence of the Bishop of Liège and function as the main seminary for religious education.
The monastery operated as a double abbey system, with separate living quarters for both male and female religious communities during its early period.
