St. Catherine's Church, Gothic church in Hoogstraten, Belgium

The red brick and white sandstone structure rises to 104.7 meters, making it the third tallest church building in Belgium.

Construction of the church began in 1525 under architect Rombout II Keldermans, commissioned by Count Antoon van Lalaing and Countess Elisabeth van Culemborg.

The interior contains seven stained glass windows measuring 14 meters high, created by Anton Evertz, depicting the seven sacraments of Catholic faith.

The church offers guided tours that explain the architectural features, stained glass windows, choir benches, tapestries, and monumental gravestones.

German troops destroyed the spire with dynamite in October 1944, leading to a complete reconstruction between 1952 and 1958.
