Château de Bousval

Château de Bousval is a manor house in Genappe featuring a distinctive L-shaped layout. The northern wing contains seven window bays, while the western wing has been converted into an orangery.

Construction began in 1567 for a household official in Margaret of Austria's court. Only the original corner tower survives from this early period of the estate.

The property now operates as a vineyard, producing wines that express the characteristics of the local Belgian terroir and soil conditions.

The estate sits within expansive grounds enclosed by brick walls. Access to the property is near the historic La Baillerie farm buildings nearby.

The exterior displays a striking polychrome finish with white bricks, gray slate roofing, and pale blue painted shutters. This color combination is uncommon for a structure of this age and location.
