Waleffe Castle, Exceptional heritage property in Les Waleffes, Belgium
The main castle structure stands within 60 acres of wooded parklands, featuring period furniture collections and original paintings throughout its interior rooms.
Built in 1706 as an extension of a 16th-century farmstead, the castle has remained in the possession of the same family lineage for thirteen generations.
The castle contains collections of Asian art, including Chinese porcelain vases and rice paper paintings, brought by Jean Curtius during his trading voyages.
The castle grounds accommodate large events with parking facilities for 500 vehicles and provides rental services for furniture and decorative items.
During World War II, five hundred American soldiers from the 263rd division of logistics resided at the castle for approximately one year.
