Waleffe Castle

Waleffe Castle in Faimes developed from a 16th-century farmstead into a complete residence set within wooded parkland. The building contains period furniture collections and original paintings arranged throughout its interior rooms.

The property began as a rural farmstead in the 16th century and was developed into a castle in the early 18th century. It has remained under family ownership continuously since that transformation.

The castle displays collections of Asian art including Chinese porcelain and rice paper paintings brought back through trading connections. These objects reflect the owners' interest in distant cultures and their place in broader European networks of exchange.
