Fin-de-Siècle Museum, Art museum in Brussels, Belgium.
The Fin-de-Siècle Museum displays paintings, sculptures, photographs, and decorative objects made between 1868 and 1914 by artists from Belgium and across Europe. The collection covers the full range of artistic styles that emerged during this period, from traditional work to completely new approaches.
The museum opened in 2013 and focuses on a period when Brussels became a major center for artistic innovation and cultural exchange across Europe. This time span marked a turning point when artists began challenging traditional methods with radical new experiments.
The collection represents different artistic movements and ways of thinking that shaped Brussels during this period. Visitors can see how artists working here expressed their ideas through painting, sculpture, and design in many different styles.
The museum is located at Rue de la Régence 3 and is open from Tuesday through Sunday, with free entry available on the first Wednesday afternoon of each month. The space spreads across multiple levels, so plan your visit accordingly and wear comfortable shoes if you want to see all the galleries.
The museum contains three-dimensional reconstructions of major Art Nouveau buildings that once shaped how Brussels looked during this era. These reconstructions help visitors understand the architectural design that defined the city's appearance at that time.
