Gunfire Artilleriemuseum Brasschaat

The Gunfire Artilleriemuseum is a military museum in Brasschaat that displays cannons, armored vehicles, and artillery equipment spanning multiple eras. The collection is arranged across maintenance sheds and outdoor areas where visitors can view the machinery and weapons up close.

The museum originated from the Artillery School Brasschaat and acquired collections from the Royal Armed Forces Museum in 2004. The focus centers on Belgian field artillery equipment from the 20th century.

Former military personnel and civilian volunteers maintain the exhibits and conduct guided tours through the maintenance sheds of Light Aviation.

Access is available via bus stops near Licht Vliegwezenlaan or by local transit serving the area. Plan enough time to see all vehicles and equipment displayed both indoors in sheds and outdoors.

The collection focuses heavily on Cold War material, showing lesser-discussed aspects of Belgian military development. Many of the displayed weapons and vehicles were inaccessible to the public for decades.
