Kasteel van Ooigem, Medieval castle in Wielsbeke, Belgium.

The rectangular castle features brick and sandstone construction, with two courtyards surrounded by moats and a 17th-century farmhouse on the grounds.

The castle's origins trace to the 9th century as a fortress protecting Harelbeke, with Lambertus de Odenghem recorded as its first lord in 1080.

The castle served as inspiration for author Stijn Streuvels' 1904 story 'Op het kasteel' and received notable guests including writer Oscar Wilde.

The estate contains both upper and lower courtyards, with semi-underground cellars and a preserved 17th-century dovecote within the property boundaries.

During the Liberation of Ooigem on September 8, 1944, the castle functioned as a field hospital for German soldiers.
