Belgian Beer World, Beer museum and bar at La Bourse, Brussels, Belgium
Belgian Beer World is a beer museum and bar set inside La Bourse, Brussels's former stock exchange building from the 19th century. The museum spans several floors and guides visitors through the full process of beer production, from raw ingredients to finished drink.
La Bourse was built in the 19th century as a financial exchange and remained a center of commercial life in Brussels for many decades. After a major transformation, it reopened in 2023 as the home of Belgian Beer World.
Beer is deeply woven into everyday life in Belgium, and this museum makes that connection tangible. Walking through the rooms, visitors discover how many distinct brewing styles have developed in the country, from lambic to Trappist beers and regional specialties.
The museum sits at Boulevard Anspach in central Brussels and is easy to reach on foot from many of the city's main sights. Booking in advance is recommended, as the building tends to be popular and entry may be timed.
The roof of La Bourse holds a bar where visitors can try Belgian beers while looking out over the old rooftops of central Brussels. It is one of the few spots in the city center where you can see that skyline from above, without climbing a dedicated viewing tower.
