Dobrich, Municipality seat in northeastern Bulgaria
Dobrich is a city in northeastern Bulgaria situated about 30 kilometers from the Black Sea coast at an elevation of 225 meters. It spreads across fertile agricultural land and is home to around 79,000 people.
The city was founded in the 16th century under Ottoman rule as Hacıoğlu Pazarcık and went through several name changes before becoming Dobrich in 1990. These shifts reflect the different periods the region experienced over the centuries.
