Dupnitsa

Located at the foot of the Rila Mountains at 535 meters elevation, Dupnitsa extends across 32 square kilometers of diverse terrain with tree-lined streets.

The settlement transformed from ancient Roman origins through various names including Tobinitsa and Doupla until receiving its current designation after Bulgaria's liberation.
