Tran gorge

Tran gorge is a natural ravine carved by the Erma River through limestone near the town of Tran. The formation features steep rock walls that run for several kilometers along the river valley.

Early in the 20th century, a tunnel was cut through solid rock beneath the gorge to support a railway route connecting two towns. This engineering effort reflects how the gorge has long played a role in regional transportation.

The nearby town of Tran maintains local crafting traditions that visitors can explore in small shops and workshops throughout the community. The gorge itself serves as a gathering place where locals come to walk and spend time outdoors.

A marked hiking trail starts from a parking area with resting spots and bathroom facilities for visitors. The path is easiest to walk during dry weather when the ground is most stable underfoot.

Two distinctive rock formations at the entrance serve as recognizable landmarks that help visitors navigate the site. These characteristic stones have become natural reference points that define the visual character of the place.
