The museum occupies a two-story colonial structure with traditional rammed earth walls and a distinctive three-slope roof design typical of the period.
Built around 1750, this residence belonged to Bartolomeu Bueno da Silva, a Portuguese explorer who led expeditions into the Brazilian interior during colonial times.
The museum collection includes period furniture, household items, and historical documents that demonstrate the daily life of wealthy Portuguese settlers in colonial Brazil.
Located at Largo da Matriz 9, the museum offers guided tours that explain the architectural features and historical significance of this Portuguese colonial residence.
This building represents the only preserved urban bandeirista house in São Paulo state that maintains its original architectural characteristics from the colonial period.
