Minsk-Arena, Sports arena in Minsk, Belarus.
Minsk-Arena is a modern multi-purpose sports facility in Minsk with several event spaces under one roof. The complex houses an ice hockey venue, a cycling track, and a speed skating rink, each designed for different competitions.
Construction started in 2006 and the facility opened in 2010 for a major ice hockey event. The project was completed relatively quickly due to the number of workers involved in the construction.
The facility received the 2012 State Award of Belarus, recognizing the architectural achievement of Valery Kutsko, Vladimir Budayev, Alexander Nitiyevsky, and Anatoly Shabalin.
The venue is located centrally in Minsk and is accessible by public transportation. The interiors are spacious and well-marked, making it easy to find your way around during visits.
The cycling track is built from a special Siberian timber chosen for its durability and performance characteristics. This makes the venue a preferred location for hosting international cycling events.
