Jesuit College in Pinsk

The Jesuit College is a multi-winged stone building arranged around inner courtyards in Baroque style. Inside, spacious rooms flow through arched passageways and vaulted ceilings that create distinct sections for teaching and worship.

The college was founded in the early 1600s when the Jesuits were establishing schools across Eastern Europe. It survived wars, occupations, and changing rule over centuries, shifting between use as a school, seminary, and other institutions.

The main staircase displays ornamental plasterwork that visitors encounter immediately upon entry. These decorative details reflect how the Jesuits designed their schools to inspire through beauty and craftsmanship.

Comfortable shoes are recommended because there are many staircases and long corridors to navigate. Access to certain sections may be limited at times due to ongoing maintenance or restoration work.

The building houses a large pipe organ from the 17th century that is occasionally played during special occasions. Its sound fills the halls in a way that evokes the original purpose of the place as both a religious and academic center.
