Mikhailovsky Square, Garden square in central Minsk, Belarus.
Mikhailovsky Square stretches between Leningradskaya, Sverdlov, and Kirov streets, featuring paved paths, benches, and structured flower arrangements throughout the space.
The square emerged in 1925 near the Vilensky Market and received its current name in 1934, followed by a complete reconstruction in 1998.
The square contains sculptures by Vladimir Zhbanov, including the Girl with Umbrella memorial commemorating the 1999 Nemiga tragedy and The Smoker statue.
Visitors can reach the square by taking the metro to Ploshchad Lenina station and walking through the adjacent streets of central Minsk.
The square incorporates distinctive lantern designs along its paths and serves as a meeting point for university students from nearby educational institutions.
