Aviation Museum, Aviation museum in Borovaja village near Minsk, Belarus.
The Aviation Museum is an open-air display of roughly 37 aircraft and helicopters spread across about 2 hectares, including transport planes, fighter jets, and helicopters from different eras. The collection allows visitors to see the range of aviation technology in a scope uncommon for this region.
The project started in 1999 with just four displayed aircraft in the village and gradually expanded. In 2009, the Central Flying Club formally established it as a museum, and it has grown into a larger collection since then.
The site serves today as a venue for regional and international competitions in helicopter operations, parachuting events, and aircraft model demonstrations. These activities draw enthusiasts and professionals who want to experience aviation history and technology firsthand.
Visitors can explore the museum most days, though it closes on Mondays. Plan your visit in the morning or afternoon to allow enough time to walk through the various aircraft on display.
Visitors can step inside various aircraft to view the cockpits and cabins up close. This allows people to understand the practical layout and operation of these historical machines in a way that only direct access makes possible.
