The Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus is an opera and ballet house on Independence Square in central Minsk. The white building shows columns, large windows, and a wide set of steps leading to the main entrance.
The house opened in 1933 as the first state music theater in Belarus. During World War II, the company temporarily relocated and returned to Minsk after the war ended.

The nearest metro station sits a few minutes on foot from the central square. Performances usually begin in the early evening, and the hall closes its doors shortly after the start.
