Pryluki, Manor house and university building in Sienicki Sieĺsaviet, Belarus
Pryluki is a manor house and agrotown in Sienicki Sieĺsaviet, Belarus, that also serves as a university building and tourist attraction, located roughly six kilometers south of Minsk. The site brings together an old stone building, a surrounding park with walking paths, and an active educational function that gives the former estate a new everyday purpose.
The first written record of Pryluki dates to 1473, when the area was already tied to noble ownership. The palace on the grounds was built by the Chapski family and changed hands several times over the following centuries before becoming a university building.
The name Pryluki means something close to 'little lakes' in Belarusian, hinting at ponds or water features that may have existed in the area long ago. The park surrounding the manor house is still the main gathering point, where visitors walk along shaded paths and look at the building from different angles.
The grounds are easy to explore on foot, with the park around the manor offering clear paths for a short walk. Since the building also serves as a university, it is worth checking in advance which parts are open to outside visitors.
