Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, Classical Chinese garden in Vancouver, Canada

The garden contains winding paths, ornamental ponds, stone formations, wooden pavilions, and small courtyards connected through carefully designed walkways and corridors.

The garden opened its gates in 1986 as the first authentic classical Chinese garden constructed outside China, following the principles of Ming Dynasty architecture.

The garden demonstrates traditional Chinese landscaping methods where every rock, plant, and architectural element holds specific meaning within Chinese garden design principles.

Visitors can access the garden daily from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM during summer months, with modified hours during other seasons and closures on Mondays from November to April.

Each rock in the garden traveled from Suzhou, China, while 52 craftsmen from China assembled all structures without using nails, screws, or power tools.
