Beth Avraham Yoseph of Toronto, Orthodox synagogue in Thornhill, Canada.
Beth Avraham Yoseph of Toronto is an Orthodox synagogue in a large building on Clark Avenue West, with multiple rooms for prayer and community gatherings. The complex contains several spaces to serve the needs of hundreds of families.
The synagogue was founded in 1980 with support from Joseph Tanenbaum and grew quickly in the following years. The congregation developed from a small group into one of the larger Orthodox communities in the region.
The congregation uses the Mikvah ritual bath and hosts regular Torah study groups for different ages. These learning programs are central to community life and bring people together regularly.
The complex has wheelchair-accessible entrances and washrooms that serve people with different mobility needs. A special elevator is available during Shabbat, when using mechanical devices is restricted by religious law.
Rabbi Daniel Korobkin shapes religious life and leads regular prayers and teaching for a very large congregation. The synagogue ranks among the most significant Orthodox gathering places in North America.
