Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America

The Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese administers over 275 parish churches across North America, serving Orthodox Christian communities in the United States and Canada.

Established in 1975 as a self-governing entity within the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch, unifying previously divided New York and Toledo archdioceses under Metropolitan Philip Saliba.

The archdiocese incorporates multiple languages in its services, including English, Arabic, Greek, and French, reflecting the multicultural nature of its congregation.

Through eight territorial dioceses and one vicariate, the institution provides religious education, theological training, and pastoral care to approximately 74,600 adherents in the United States.

The archdiocese maintains both Byzantine and Western Rite liturgical practices, allowing former Anglican congregations to preserve familiar worship traditions within Orthodox Christianity.
