Domaine de Maizerets, Nature park in La Cité-Limoilou, Quebec, Canada.
Domaine de Maizerets is a park with an arboretum, cedar maze, observation tower, and water garden spread across its grounds. Different areas offer children's play spaces and walking paths through the landscape.
The land was purchased by the Quebec Seminary in 1705 and used for farming purposes. It later became a summer camp in 1932 and eventually transformed into a public park.
The manor house from the 18th century shapes the park's character and reflects how wealthy families lived during the colonial period. You can walk around the grounds and see how the landscape was designed to complement their way of life.
The park is open daily and offers different areas for walking and exploring at your own pace. You can focus on specific attractions like the maze or arboretum based on what interests you most.
Much of the arboretum was created on a former snow disposal site, now home to many tree species. This conversion shows how an unused industrial area was transformed into a green space.
