La Fabrique, Industrial heritage site in Saint-Roch, Canada.
The red brick building on Charest East Boulevard features medieval-style towers, Victorian details, and white decorative elements across its four-story structure.
Constructed in 1871, the building operated as Dominion Corset from 1897 to 1988, emerging as one of Canada's principal manufacturers of women's undergarments.
The structure represents the evolution of Canadian manufacturing, particularly the textile industry that employed thousands of women during the twentieth century.
The building now houses Quebec City's planning department offices and Laval University's School of Visual Arts following extensive renovations in 1992.
The structure incorporates Second Empire architectural elements, including a clock tower, semi-circular arched windows, and fleur-de-lis adorned pilasters.
