Séminaire Saint-Joseph de Trois-Rivières

The Séminaire Saint-Joseph is a four-story neoclassical building complex in the city center with granite walls and multiple connected wings. The chapel with its copper dome sits at the heart of the grounds and defines its overall appearance.

It was founded in 1860 as a college and later converted into a diocesan seminary, marking a shift in its educational mission. A major fire in 1929 destroyed portions of the structure, leading to significant reconstruction of the complex.

The copper-domed chapel serves as a central gathering space and shows the religious role this place holds in the school community. Visitors can see how faith and education are woven together in the daily life of the institution.
