Brewer Park, Municipal park in Ottawa, Canada
Brewer Park is a recreational area along the north bank of the Rideau River at Bronson Avenue, opposite the grounds of Carleton University. It provides soccer fields, baseball diamonds, an ice hockey arena, play structures, a mini water park, and a community garden with greenhouse.
A public beach operated at Brewer Park Pond until 1971, when stricter water quality standards led to its closure. This shift transformed the location into a land-based recreation area focused on sports and community activities.
Each year, the House of Paint Hip Hop Festival brings 200 urban artists together for performances and art displays under Dunbar Bridge.
The park is easy to access and offers something for many types of visitors, from families with young children to athletes. Various sections are connected by pathways, making it possible to explore different activities in one visit.
Beneath Dunbar Bridge sits Canada's longest legal graffiti wall, which has served as a canvas for artists since 2003. Each year during the House of Paint Hip Hop Festival, roughly 200 artists use this space and the bridge for performances and art displays.
