The building was constructed in 1906 as a fire station near Gastown. It was later transformed into a performing arts venue and now serves as home to theatre companies.
The venue presents works that honour the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səlilwətaɬ First Nations territories through performances and storytelling. The stage creates space for local and indigenous artists to share their voices with audiences.
