Manresa Spirituality Centre

The Manresa Spirituality Centre is a Jesuit facility in Sainte-Foy comprising multiple buildings located beside Saint Charles Garnier College. The complex features dedicated spaces for meditation, individual sessions, and group gatherings focused on inner reflection.

The Society of Jesus established the center in 1891 and relocated it to its present location near Parc des Braves in 1921. This move allowed the growing institution to accommodate its expanded operations.

The center is a place where visitors experience Ignatian spirituality through classes and discussion groups. People from different backgrounds gather here to reflect together on personal growth and inner development.

The facility welcomes both individuals and groups for customized retreat programs. Visitors should plan ahead since the buildings are primarily designed for organized programs rather than casual drop-in visits.

The center takes its name from the Spanish city of Manresa, where Ignatius of Loyola wrote the Spiritual Exercises. These exercises form the foundation for all retreat and spiritual programs offered here today.
