Victoria Park, Public park in East End, England
Victoria Park covers 86 hectares of land between Bethnal Green, Hackney, and Bow, featuring lakes, gardens, sports facilities, and two playgrounds.
The park opened in 1845 after local residents petitioned Queen Victoria, making it the first public park designed specifically for the working class of East London.
The park holds weekly markets, summer concerts, and festivals throughout the year, drawing over 9 million visitors who gather for community activities.
The park opens daily from 7 AM until dusk, with entrances at St Agnes Gate, Gore Gate, Royal Gates, Crown Gates, and Rockmead Gate.
Two canals border Victoria Park: the Regent's Canal to the west and the Hertford Union Canal along the southern edge.
