The cliff serves as a central gathering point for bird enthusiasts who participate in daily counts and contribute to North American migration research databases.

Visitors access the cliff observation area via Fairview Avenue south of St. Thomas, which becomes Hawk Cliff Road, intersecting with Dexter Line.

During peak migration days in September, observers can count over 100,000 raptors passing through this corridor in a single day.
