Hare-Krishna-Tempel Zürich, Hindu temple at Bergstrasse, Zürich, Switzerland
The Hare Krishna Temple stands on the slope of Zürichberg mountain, surrounded by gardens and housed in a former patrician villa from 1909.
The International Society for Krishna Consciousness acquired this abandoned banker's residence in spring 1980 and transformed it through community restoration efforts.
The temple holds weekly Sunday celebrations starting at 3 PM with Mahamantra chanting, followed by lectures and vegetarian feasts for all attendees.
Located at Bergstrasse 54, the temple opens daily from 4:30 AM to 7:15 PM Monday through Saturday, and until 9:30 PM on Sundays.
The ground floor contains the main prayer room with an altar for Krishna worship, while the first floor houses a library and exhibition about ISKCON founder Prabhupada.
