The Jaquet-Droz automata represent a remarkable achievement in mechanical craftsmanship that reflects the ingenuity valued during the 18th century. These intricate devices show how artisans combined art and engineering in their work.
The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday and offers different access options for visitors. Allow enough time to explore the extensive collection, as the exhibitions are spread across multiple areas.
The collection includes a Ruckers harpsichord, a rare keyboard instrument from earlier centuries. Also noteworthy are approximately 900 punches and dies from the Kramer Company, acquired in 2002, which show the metalworking techniques of past times.
