Pointe de Poêle Chaud

Pointe de Poêle Chaud rises to 1628 meters within the Jura mountain range, forming part of the Dôle massif near Lake Geneva. The summit hosts an amateur radio relay station and offers views across the surrounding mountain landscape and distant lakeshore.

The mountain formed during the Jurassic period through limestone deposits that shaped the geological structure of the entire Jura range. This peak sits within a natural border region between Switzerland and France that has connected people across boundaries for centuries.

The summit functions as a communication link with an amateur radio relay station HB9G that connects radio enthusiasts from Switzerland and France. Visitors can observe the radio antenna at the top and see the technical equipment that enables this cross-border exchange.
