Homberg tower, Observation tower in Reinach, Switzerland

The Hombergturm is a 16.90-metre concrete lattice tower on the Hochwacht, a spur south of the Homberg in Reinach, Aargau. Built in 1910 and renovated in 1991, it has 91 steps in three different construction methods leading to the viewing platform.

The tower was built in 1910 as a reinforced concrete lattice structure on the Hochwacht ridge south of the Homberg, in the municipality of Reinach in the canton of Aargau. It was renovated in 1991.

The tower stands on the Hochwacht, a lookout point south of the Homberg, and its name comes from that hill. Hikers walking the trails around Reinach use the platform as a destination and a place to read the panorama board, which names the peaks from the Uetliberg to the Balmhorn.

The tower is accessible within minutes on foot from the Ober Flügelberg car park via marked hiking trails. The viewing platform at the top provides views across mountains and valleys in multiple directions.
