Homberg tower

Homberg Tower is a concrete observation structure in Reinach, standing approximately 17 meters tall with a staircase of around 90 steps leading to the viewing platform. Its construction employs multiple concrete techniques in different sections of the structure.

The tower was constructed in 1910 using early concrete engineering methods and represents an early example of this building approach. Major restoration work in the 1990s stabilized the structure and prepared it for continued use.

The tower serves as a meeting point for hikers and nature enthusiasts exploring the Aargau region. Visitors gather here to share views and experience the landscape that surrounds their communities.

The tower is accessible within minutes on foot from the Ober Flügelberg car park via marked hiking trails. The viewing platform at the top provides views across mountains and valleys in multiple directions.

At the top sits a panorama board that identifies visible landmarks and geographical features by name. This helps visitors recognize the mountains and valleys spread across the horizon around them.
