The castle complex at La Tour-de-Peilz comprises a main building surrounded by circular towers, ramparts, and ditches. The structures blend medieval and classical architectural styles throughout.

Built in the 13th century, it served as a defensive stronghold and customs post overseeing trade routes across Lake Geneva. This dual function made it a key control point for the region.

The Swiss Museum of Games is housed in the upper rooms and displays a diverse collection of games from many periods and cultures. Visitors can see how people entertained themselves through the centuries in different ways.

The castle is open to visitors Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 to 17:30. Facilities are accessible for people with reduced mobility.

The ground floor retains original 18th-century interior features, including wooden paneling and ceramic stoves. These spaces were used for official receptions and offer insight into period ceremonies and hospitality.
