Hardwaldturm

The 41.5-meter Hardwaldturm features four viewing platforms accessible through 210 wooden steps, offering panoramic views of the surrounding region.

The tower construction project initiated in 2018 through a collaboration between local forest authorities and five municipalities, leading to its completion in July 2022.

The structure received the Best Architects 24 award for its design, which incorporates timber exclusively sourced from the local Hardwald forest.

Visitors can access drinking water fountains and barbecue facilities near the tower base, while vehicle access remains restricted to maintain the natural environment.

The triangular structure consists of four stacked 10-meter segments with large openings that allow views of different forest vegetation layers during ascent.
